Clean Energy Now is on a mission to partner with local businesses, governments, and tribal organizations to provide customized renewable solutions that reduce carbon footprints, provide grid independence, support the transportation industry, and minimize energy costs.
OUR STORY
Established in 2023, Clean Energy Now leverages our founders’ complementary expertise in the inspection, certification, and qualification of engineered systems.
Additionally, our founders are experts in developing energy infrastructure projects and design of advanced thermal-hydraulic power systems. The clean energy market, including transportation, is experiencing steep growth and expansion and we are helping communities become energy independent through renewable energy.
We bring the technical, policy and financial know-how to support the clean energy transition through off-grid renewable clean energy infrastructure development to meet the growing electrical demands of local governments, companies, and the transportation industry.
MEET THE TEAM
Our team is made up of energy professionals who met professionally and shared interest in energy transition infrastructure. Our team's complementary skills allow for a lean and effective project development team.
Allen is a retired Naval Officer with over 30 years of engineering and entrepreneurial experience. Eric is a nuclear engineer and was a founder of an IPO’d energy startup. Chris is a senior project manager with 30 years of Renewable Energy Development and Construction Experience and an expert in clean energy project site development and permitting.

Allen Summerall
Allen has thirty-five years of engineering leadership that included serving in the US Navy as Chief Engineering Officer and completing a variety of successful energy projects in 12 different countries.
After retiring from the US Navy, Allen went on to complete 15 years as an authorized ASME nuclear inspector, project manager, program manager, manager of business services, and successful small business owner.

Chris Copeland
Chris has thirty-three years of clean energy and renewable energy project development and operations. He has held positions as the Manager for northern and southern operations development of 5 major renewable windfarms. Chris was also the lead EPC of the first in Wind to Hydrogen electrolyzer projects in the US and globally.
Chris founded a startup company providing detailed technical layout and consultation of wind energy projects spanning the entire Coachella Valley. In his career at Equix Infrastructure, Chris was a lead in full EPC renewable energy contacts for wind, solar and battery storage. He was also a senior project manager for Vestas, the worlds largest wind energy company.
Chief Technology Officer
Eric Young
Eric has a twenty-four-year career in leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering designs of clean energy technology across the US, Europe and Asia.
After completing DOE-funded R&D efforts on modular reactor concepts (1999-2003), Eric pursued and completed his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering in 2006. In 2008 Eric co-founded NuScale, a startup company for small modular reactor concepts. Following 14 years at NuScale, and a successful IPO, Eric left the company to pursue efforts to support the transportation industry, and hydrogen economy.
